The Friends of the Farmington Library looks to the community for financial support so that we can continue our mission of inspiring the community to a love of learning. It is the goal of Friends to assist the library with special projects, programs, and materials through memberships, fundraising, and community involvement.

Book Donations
In anticipation of a possible Fall Book Sale, Friends will begin collecting gently used books on June 1. Donations will be received by appointment on a limited basis. Send an email to library@farmpl.org for complete instructions on how to make an appointment. There is a limit of 2 boxes per donor on the day of drop off. Any books not accepted will be returned to the donor. We reserve the right to refuse, discard, or recycle any donated items. Friends of the Farmington Library is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization and can provide a donation receipt for your tax records.
Acceptable donations include:
- Books (hardback and paperback) in good, clean, readable condition
- CDs and DVDs in original cases
Please do not donate:
- Badly worn, marked up, stained or moldy items
- Magazines
- Encyclopedias
- Textbooks
Bi-Annual Book Sale
The Friends of the Library has a two-day book sale twice a year (October and April) in the Community Room. The next book sale date is currently unknown.
